Vandals Go 6-1!!!

Last weekend Josh and I met up with a bunch of old Delt's, their wives and girlfriends, and some of my friends in Moscow to watch the Vandals go 6-1!! After beating Hawaii and becoming Bowl eligible for the first time since '98!! we hit up the Corner Club pretty hard - yes I am still on a first name basis with the bartender. It was a great weekend but I will never stay at the Royal Motor Inn ever again.... yuck! Horizon Airlines and the University Inn here we come!
First few tubs at the club on Friday night...

Aaron Murphy, Tony McDonald, and Chuck Medley being silly outside the club, nothing ever changes!

2:30 a.m. and we are sitting on the counter at the club, we were VIP's for sure!

The picture on the left is my beautiful hotel room. Yes its 9:30am and Brad and Josh are still in bed and drinking beer already.

Mary, Laura, and myself at the tailgate.

Josh, Brad and Tony also at the tailgate.

Brad and Laura Peterson

Some really cool tailgate bus that kept playing the fight song.

This is our friend Adam, Mary's husband. He is from the UK and this was his first Moscow/Tailgate/Live "American" Football experience.

My cute husband and me in our new Vandal gear!

Our tailgate site, we drank almost all 150 beers during Saturday day!

In the Kibbie Dome, and Brad is telling us we have 6 wins!! Go Vandals

U of I vs CSU

Getting my posts done late as usual. Here is a couple pics from the game. First my uncle Steve and I sitting in the president's box, and then one of the field being rushed at the end of the game. I can't believe we are 6-1 and bowl eligible!

Astro Dad

Just in case any of you were worried Dad did make it back from his Space Shuttle Mission. Okay well he made it back from Space Camp. He just had to model his new flightsuit/loungewear though before he returns to his everyday Pharma job. Greg's space staion hat would probably go better with it.

Vandal 5-1

Yesterday's game against SJSU was a bit shaky at times but they still won! Unlike what the old Vandals might have done. I had to try to watch it on a computer because we didn't want to pay $24.00 for ESPN360. I think my eyesight is permanently damaged. The close-ups were okay but when they go wide it was hard to tell what was going on except by the crowd reaction. Maybe Kelsey and Josh can throw in some tailgating pics next week to make these posts a bit more interesting! Go Vandals!!!

4-1

I feel like this is turning into a Vandal Blog! Last night's game against CSU was great! It is nice to see those poor kids that went through all the coaching changes have some success. They should have hired Akey to begin with! It is also nice to see the UI get some press in Boise (besides stories of kids falling out of fraternity windows!). Go Vandals!

Vandal Football

Vandals win again against Northern Illinois 34-31!!! Crazy. When is the last time they have been 3-1. It is great they have beat teams from other conferences, too. Should be a great game against Colorado State next week. Greg will be there sitting with the Prez!

Fall in McCall

Kelsey and I decided to enjoy a "Stay and Play Fall Package" at the Shore Lodge in McCall. We were excited to play golf at Whitetail and it turned out to be everything we hoped for. It was so beautiful and serene - the golf was great, too. Unfortunately, the camera's battery died and we couldn't take any pictures. We were really bummed that we couldn't get a picture of Kelsey after her Eagle on the 4th hole!
Anyway, after golf we enjoyed our lakefront room at the Shore Lodge. The weather was amazing (80's) for the end of September.
Great views from our room! Wish I could wake up to that everyday.
On Friday morning we roamed around McCall. Despite the demise of Tamarack things in McCall were looking great and seemed pretty busy for Fall. We enjoyed breakfast at the new Fogglifter Cafe. It used to be Kelsey's dentist's office when she lived in McCall. Very yummy.

Thought we would close with a little Fall color! Something I won't see in AZ. The trees were changing and the forecast is for cold weather next week...winter and skiing are just around the corner!
Can't wait for our Christmas stay! We are crossing our fingers that skiing will still happen at Tamarack.
