The 4th of McCall

Lindy and I headed to McCall for the 4th. It was a fun time, a couple of my friends were there from high school to join in the festivities of wakeboarding, wakesurfing, tubing, beach lounging and firework watching. If you get a chance you should ask Lindy about here tubing experience.

Kenz and Molly- Bachlorette Party

Warning: Some pictures may be more appropriate for "Facebook" then the family blog, but I figured we all know by now that Kelsey and her friends like to have too many cocktails and too much fun, so what the heck! Here are some pictures from McKenzie and Molly's bachlorette party in Stanley ID. We had so much fun camping it up just us girls, we are very rugged! (except for a guest appearance by Russ Lodge) I had the nickname "Firestarter" because I started the fire Saturday morning and tended to it pretty much all day/night, no one touched my fire! (In one picture the Firestarter looks bored of her fire.) We went rafting on Saturday too, in 55 degrees and rain, so that explains our really cute rafting outfits and my really huge wet suit. (See picture of us warming up after by the propane heat gun.) But I think the Gilgen's secret Bloody Mary mix had already been going around the campsite so we didn't care. We also went to Redfish Lodge for dinner and of course some dancing at the Rod and Gun. McKenzie and I tepeed Shannon sleeping, and McKenzie and Molly took pictures in the weird "graves" around the campsite, meaning marriage equals death I guess? Although I love being married to Josh!

July 4th Golf

Nothing like a little family golf on the 4th of July. It was pretty hot but we had a great time with Kelsey. I think we drank gallons of water! Kelsey and Dad on the 12th hole. Kelsey wanted to get married on this hole when she was a kid.
We were looking for shade on every hole. Pretty easy to find at Royal Oaks.

The best part is always the cold beverage afterwards on the patio! Dad shot 73 from the black tees - pretty good for a 60 year old.

Weekend in Stanley

The annual trip to Stanley was a lot of fun as usual. It is always great to just kick back and watch the Salmon River roll by at the Riverside motel. Very relaxing.

The trip wouldn't be complete without a hike. This year we headed up to Alpine Lake. Kelsey and I thought it was one of the best we had been on because there was great scenery all the way. The Lake is at 7900 ft. so it was still very snowy thanks to a cold spring. It was really a serene spot.
Kelsey, Lindy, and I enjoyed some snacks while Josh went the extra mile and another 500 ft. in elevation to Sawtooth Lake which was still partly frozen.

On the way back down we all dreamed about what we would order for dinner at Redfish lake Lodge that night for dinner. We really worked up an appetite!

They don't call them the Sawtooths for nothing!

Greg's Birthday

Celebrated Greg's 25th Birthday on June 25th. Josh made his famous lasagna and Lindy supplied the Confetti Cupcakes! Tommy wasn't impressed with any of it.

This is Greg and I at his friend's wedding in Colville! I made friends with some locals. They kept trying to convince me Greg was too drunk to take me home. Well that is because Greg's friend told them that Greg was not a nice guy and that I didn't know him! Oh and there were tubs!

Grandpa Turns 87!

On June 19, 1922 Grandpa was born in Buhl, Idaho. He is still hanging in there and loving his cake!
